With labor shortages being one of the biggest challenges our industry faces, our partnership with Instawork builds on the common practice of using lease or contingent labor that many of our hotels use, but enhances it through technology.
Rather than calling an agency to request staff, our hotels will be able to post hourly wage shifts directly to Instawork's platform, giving them greater control to source labor. Instawork then serves available shifts to experienced workers who meet those requirements.
Pricing is fixed per location.
Hotels can then use Instawork's market-driven pricing model or set their own desired pay rates.
While overall terms are set with Hilton, individual locations will need to complete a Hilton pre-approved property level agreement.
Instawork uses a variety of tools to vet workers including requiring past experience and in-app quizzes to test skills and knowledge. In addition, Instawork runs background checks through Checkr - the same vendor that Aramark uses.
As workers continue to work shifts, they also build up a profile of record with ratings and specific feedback from other businesses. This helps to refine our worker pool to only the highest quality candidates.
