Get reliable staff in hours, not days

Instawork is a staffing platform that connects businesses like yours with hourly, frontline workers ready for one-time shifts, set schedules, or seasonal coverage.

Reliable staff in hours

How it Works

1

Post a shift

Tell us the role you need and when you need them. Add any requirements like skills, attire, or experience level.

2

Get matched with workers

We match you with vetted workers based on your shift's requirements. As Pros pick up your shift, you can view their profiles in the app so you always know who’s coming.

3

Run your shift

Pros show up ready to work and easily clock in when they arrive. You focus on running your business, and we handle the rest, including payroll, taxes, and backup coverage when needed.

Where is Instawork available and how fast can I fill?

Instawork operates in 50+ U.S. markets. Many common roles are filled within six hours. You can post same-day, next-day, or multi-week needs, including Long Term shifts (recurring assignments that provide consistent coverage over several weeks).

How are workers vetted?

Our process includes background checks, work authorization where applicable, reference and experience checks, and license/certification verification. Enhanced screening is also available.

What safeguards improve reliability?

We use multiple safeguards to keep shifts on track, including worker ratings, on-time and cancellation tracking, automated reminders, GPS clock-ins, and paid backup workers for critical shifts. If a worker isn’t qualified to work your shift, you can send them home at no charge for unused time.

How do I keep the best people coming back?

After each shift, you rate workers and can add top performers to rosters for easy re-invites. You can also block poor fits. Our multi-location dashboards help you manage rosters separately while keeping visibility across sites.  Read more

How does pricing work?

You set your bill rate, which is inclusive of the worker pay rate (what workers earn) and Instawork’s administrative support. Minimum shift hours and cancellation policies may apply, depending on your account’s terms.  Read more

Can I convert a worker to full‑time?

Yes. After a worker reaches a set number of hours, you can hire them directly with no additional fee. Instawork tracks hours and notifies you when someone becomes eligible for hiring.  Read more

How do timekeeping, billing, and reporting work?

Workers clock in and out through the app or with an on-site PIN code. You review and approve hours, then receive one consolidated invoice. Our reporting tools let you audit hours, track hiring conversion eligibility, manage spend, and monitor your rosters.
