Yes. Every worker undergoes a comprehensive vetting process that includes identity verification, background checks, and work history reviews. Workers also complete skills assessments, certification reviews, and any training required to work at your business. You can also view workers’ past ratings and supervisor reviews before they arrive on-site.

How does Instawork work?

It’s simple:

  1. Post a shift: Set the position, start time, location, and any specific requirements (like attire or certifications).
  2. Get matched with workers: Instawork targets eligible workers, screens them against your requirements, matches you with the best, and ensures they show up on time.
  3. Run your business: Workers clock in and out on the Instawork app. We handle the payroll, taxes, and insurance.

How much does Instawork cost?

Instawork is free to sign up and browse workers. You only pay when you book a shift, at an all-inclusive hourly rate. This rate includes worker pay, insurance, and background checks. You’ll see the exact cost upfront before booking—no hidden fees or monthly subscriptions.

You can explore our local worker pool before you post a shift. Create a free business account and browse workers near you in the "Professionals" tab. You’ll be able to see their work history, skills, and ratings from other local businesses to get a feel for the quality of our network.

What happens if I need to cancel a shift?

We know plans can change. You can cancel a shift for free with at least 24 hours’ notice. Cancellations made within 24 hours may incur a small fee to help compensate the worker for their committed time.
