In order for Instawork to achieve its highest potential, we need to keep adding to our amazing team so that we serve our Professionals and Partners in the best possible way. In that vein, I’m happy to announce that Deb Sharkey will be joining us as SVP, Growth and Operations!
Deb has spent her entire career building marketplaces, most recently at Eventbrite where she led the core ticketing business as the company’s CCO. Deb also served as COO at Dogvacay, a pet care marketplace that was acquired by Rover. Before that, she spent more than a decade at eBay leading various businesses including Australia and local delivery.
Deb graduated from the University of Virginia with a BA in Foreign Affairs. She lives in the Bay Area with her Aussie husband, and vivacious 3-year-old.
Like everyone at Instawork, Deb is passionate about our opportunity to empower local businesses and underserved professionals. She worked her way through college as a server at restaurants and events. Deb’s empathy for our users gave me confidence she’d be a tremendous colleague.
