Employee Spotlight: Alice Dauchez, Manager of Account Management

Our mission at Instawork is to create economic opportunities for local businesses and professionals, globally. In order to achieve that mission, we have built a team composed of talented and hard-working individuals who are passionate about connecting skilled hourly professionals with local businesses who need their services.

Our Employee Spotlight series takes the opportunity to highlight members of our team and to give a glimpse into our culture and what it’s like to work at Instawork. To highlight the diversity of our team, we’ve asked Alice Dauchez, Manager of Account Management, to share more about her experience working at Instawork.

What do you do at Instawork and how long have you been with the company?

I have been with Instawork for almost a year and I lead one of the account management teams on the West Coast. We cover Southern California, Phoenix, Las Vegas, and Detroit. Our main focuses are growth and Partner retention. We ensure that our Partners have the very best experience using our platform. Our teams are both high tech and high touch. Our account managers will provide all the tools our partners might need to solve their staffing challenges.

What initially attracted you to Instawork?

I agree with the mission: giving economic opportunities to both businesses and workers globally. By giving access to a living wage to the 4 million Pros on our platform, Instawork has a very real impact on the lives of so many people. I am grateful to work for an organization whose mission aligns with my personal values.

What's your favorite part of your job?

What I value most is the collaboration with all of our internal teams. I work with very talented people who both challenge and inspire me daily. I am new to the tech world and I have tremendously expanded my knowledge in product, engineering, sales, business operations and even marketing! Instawork is an open learning environment.

What is one piece of “work from home” equipment you couldn’t live without?

I think we can all agree that a dual monitor is pretty essential.

What's the most important thing you've learned since starting at Instawork?

I’ve learned to be more adaptable than ever. Our teams constantly challenge the status quo and we are always testing new concepts. Partners’ feedback is most often relayed through on-site visits by account managers. The entire org has visibility into it and it is taken very seriously. Once a common pain point is identified, it is often discussed openly and the teams are very quick to action!

Recently, there’s been a lot of emphasis on how to create a better match between Partner and Pros. Every Partner is different and they might be looking for a specific skill in a Pro. A new feature is in the works and this will be a game changer for our Partners.

In 10 words or less, how would you describe the culture at Instawork?

Challenging and dynamic.
