Employee Spotlight: Gurneet Sagger, Head of Revenue Enablement

Our mission at Instawork is to create economic opportunities for local businesses and professionals, globally. In order to achieve that mission, we have built a team composed of talented and hard-working individuals who are passionate about connecting skilled hourly professionals with local businesses who need their services.

Our Employee Spotlight series takes the opportunity to highlight members of our team and to give a glimpse into our culture and what it’s like to work at Instawork. To highlight the diversity of our team, we’ve asked Gurneet Sagger, Head of Revenue Enablement, to share more about her experience working at Instawork.

What do you do at Instawork and how long have you been with the company?

I’ve been at Instawork for 1 year and 9 months, and I am looking forward to crossing the 2-year mark. Currently, I serve as the Head of Revenue Enablement and our charter is to equip our front line for success. This will include onboarding the right talent, development programs, and rolling out the latest pricing and product updates. We build programs to ensure scalability and reduce friction along the buyer journey.

What initially attracted you to Instawork?

There were 3 initial areas. First, helping people out of poverty was a personal driver for me and we are very much a mission-led company that is creating economic opportunity. Secondly, I came from a traditional brick-and-mortar staffing firm with a desire to combine that experience with technology. Last but not least, the caliber of our C-suite is exceptional, and being able to scale our GTM teams with our CRO remains an exciting opportunity.

What's your favorite part of your job?

Our Pro and Partner stories at our company all-hands meetings. Everyone works towards the same vision and carries our values. It’s so great to hear stories and see a salesperson, account manager, or our engineers look back and say ‘I did that’, the cascading impact of everyone's work builds up confidence in each other. Teamwork makes the dream work!

What is one piece of “work from home” equipment you couldn’t live without?

It’s exciting to evolve this to ‘what do I take from home and bring into the office’, my tea bags. Being back in the office with our talented Chicago teams allows us to collaborate, share quick tips, and create an amazing work environment. However, I need at least 3 cups of tea in the morning, the first one being on my commute.

What's the most important thing you've learned since starting at Instawork?

Debate, decide, and commit. We move fast and need to head in the same direction as each other to achieve our goals.

In 10 words or less, how would you describe the culture at Instawork?

Fast, Fun, Collaborative, and Mission-driven.
