An event set up/takedown role refers to a laborer whose primary responsibility is preparing for a larger scale event.
Event Setup and Takedown responsibilities:
Reads and interprets set-up sheets.
Set up and taking down of tables, chairs, stages, walkways, table settings, lights, buffet setups, etc.
Participates in the clean-up of all venues after events and meetings.
May perform custodial duties on a regularly assigned area or on an as needed basis.
Assembles, operates and ensures public address equipment
Ability to work long hours with intensive labor.
Remain available for the event, if needed, to help fix anything that breaks
