Clean cut, professional hard working event captains needed to oversee a team of event servers and assist with delegating break down duties to ensure the perfect execution of a fast paced formal dinner reception. Tables must be decorated correctly, food presented timely and professionally. Act as liaison to the chefs and cooking staff in the back, letting them know what food needs to be replenished. Please be willing to wear various hats.

An event captain role refers to a back of house or a front of house worker whose primary responsibility is to be the liaison between gig workers and operators.
Event captain responsibilities:
Supervising banquet team members as directed by the Chef & B. Assisting with training banquet team members Supervising and assisting with the set-up of function rooms to include placement of linens, silver, china and glassware according to event order specifications Assisting in service of functions as required Inspecting function rooms and equipment prior to the functions for cleanliness, proper inventory and set up Supervising and assisting with the break down after the completion of functions to ensure that all equipment and supplies are stored correctly Maintaining par stocks and perpetual inventories of necessary items Ordering rental equipment and linens as necessary for banquet events Communicating effectively, giving direction, support, timely feedback and recognition of performance Responding to operational and/or guest issues when necessary, ensuring proper follow through with appropriate manager(s)
