An event captain role refers to a back of house or a front of house worker whose primary responsibility is to be the liaison between gig workers and operators.
Event captain responsibilities:
Being friendly and courteous is needed.
Accurately and easily communicate standards and cooking methods to staff, give orders and speak with customers clearly.
Dealing with employee conflict, irate customers and wrong orders is part of a banquet captain job.
Being able to come up with a solution quickly is a needed skill."
