This is a standby position that guarantees at least 2 hours of pay in the event you're not placed into a full shift. If another Pro arrives late, does not show up, or is sent home for not meeting requirements you will be added to a full shift. You will be working as a busser/runner to help with the Sands Expo buffet. Security: Arrive early enough to check-in and get badged before your shift starts. Tracking Hours: You must be checked-in before your shift starts. If you’re not checked-in on-time you could be replaced by an extra and sent home. Make sure to check-in with the on-site Instawork Event Captain, Clock-in and out on your app, AND Sign-in and out at the office timesheet. Small Lockers: are available daily. To use them, please bring your own lock. Lunch: is provided. You will be given a 60 minute unpaid lunch break (mandatory). Double Shifts: are not allowed at the Sands and Venetian properties. A Busser/Food Runner role refers to a front of house worker whose primary responsibility is to support the servers of the job site.
Busser/Food runner responsibilities:
Maintains the cleanliness and sanitation of the dining area, including all tables and chairs. Restocks the dining room and side stations with tableware, flatware, utensils, condiments and linen. Always maintain adequate supplies in the side station when the restaurant is open. Fill up the curate set and other condiments. Greet guest after they are seated. Reset tables with fresh linens and set the table according to the meal period. Pick up food from kitchen and bring to the side stations. Assist restaurant servers to serve the guest. During busy periods assist servers by serving food and beverage to guests. Cleaning side stations and stocking and replenishing side station supplies. Emptying and cleaning food preparation carts. Returning soiled linens to the laundry. Collecting fresh linens and taking them to the restaurant Flexibility and adaptability to a changing clientele and environment. Other duties deemed necessary by Supervisor, Manager Responsible for conducting all responsibilities in a professional and ethical manner. Responsible for maintaining a consistent, regular attendance record.
